Taxes & Custom Fees
Importing items from Japan can be subject to taxes and to customs fees in the country that they are delivered to. These costs are the customers responsibility.
These costs include the sales tax in the country of delivery (applicable to the total value of your order), duties on the cost of the items (Approximately 6% for the European Union) and fees ranging from between $10-$20 for courier handling.
Japan Post: In most cases charges the required sum at the time of delivery.
Registered Air Small Packet: Your national Courier will bill you when applicable.
For some customers such fees may be worrying and we understand this. We hope that you are comforted by the fact that when you buy from Fuji and me you are getting unique items form Japan that are in most cases impossible to get anywhere else.
For our customers in Australia: Orders below $1000 AUD are regarded by Australian Customs as "Low Value Imports." Since the 1st of July 2018, customs duties may apply to any goods imported from overseas by consumers in Australia. More information can be found at the Australian customs website.
For our customers in the USA: Most packages with a declared value under $200 USD will pass customs without any fee.
For our customers in Canada: Orders above $20CAN require a duties and GST payment. For more information please visit the Canadian customs website.
