Situated along the Northern base of Mt Fuji is a small Ski Resort called Fujiten. There is also a second resort Called Snow Town Yeti on the mountains Southern side.
Fujiten being the bigger of the two resorts, has a reasonable selection of runs (10) available to suit people of all abilities. There are two, gentle, 1300 meter slopes for beginners and a family slope that is 500 meters and is reserved for those who are experiencing snow for the first time. Restaurants and shops are situated at the base of the runs.
Talented and advanced skiers and snowboarders are also catered for on the steeper runs which also include a terrain park featuring Jumps, rails and boxes. On non-snowy days snow cannons are used to extend the life of the snow.
If you want to take your kids in the snow you will be pleased to know that there is also a large play area for making snowmen or where they can also learn to sled, ski or snowboard.
